The skin doctor that is. ๐

The German owner of some mechanic shop on the other side of the yard told me “These guys are doing things to cars that shouldn’t be done.” When he saw my ๐ฎ face he was like “I mean that as a compliment. They are really good at what they’re doing. They just do stuff other panel beaters would shy away from.”
Hey that’s what I need, planning to have a high top and a bull bar n stuffz …
So Oubaas is in good hands. Pheeew. ๐
can’t wait to see the finished product…

Neither can we, Cindy, neither can we. But for now we’re kinda grounded again, the panelbeater will pick me up sometimes when he has progress to show or needs my decicision on stuffz. Thank god for corona, so we just keep on living in lockdown … like we’re supposed to do anyway, aren’t we. Sitting on at least 2 weeks worth of food so chances of survival are high. ๐

I bet!!! Yes… you are doing the right thing for sure! Like you said: what else can we do! Iโve been totally distanced until my daughter whoโs been gone for 8 Months literally jumped on me and hugged and kissed me all over. All of my worry of how I was going to be so mindful and distanced, went out the window! Iโm not gonna lie, it was so tender and I loved every minute of it.
Good you are stocked up!
Us too!

The thing with lockdown is that you really need a vehicle to get around. Obviously not what lockdown was intended to be like. But having food delivered is expensive and the choice is spotty … and half of the stuff you order is out of stock or sumfink. ๐ฆ So I rather drive up the the real great foodlovers market and decide spontaniously what we fancy. And I have to do that often, since our fridge isn’t American jumbo size.

Right now our fridge is much fuller than in the post above. ๐ฎ

I hope your car is done soon!
On the plus, Finns is the only thing to spend money on right now. But I hear ya. I couldnโt even find anyone to deliver for quite awhile but now Iโve got the hang of it. Your fridge looks really greatly stocked!

The van will take at least 4 weeks. + high top + bull bar + sun roofs …
Finns?
And delivery is no problem, Capetonians can be remarkaby fast when there is some money to be made. So our super markets make use of the food delivery guys. Now that most restaurants were/are closed it’s win/win for both sides.
And this time right now, our fridge is even fullerer. I had to be brutal with some stuff to make it all fit. ๐

OOPs… FOOD. My son wants to buy a van and trick it out and sell it. Hot thing to do these days. At least your fridge is full! Enjoy your weekend!!!

Oh yes, many retired carpenters and electricians do so. Buuuut … well, your son is young, he should buy a van, trick it out and go on the road himself. That’s the life! Not building stuff for other people to enjoy.

Perfect. He took off and did that for a year and now heโs buckling down to a โrealโ job with money in his pocket-:)

[…] much has changed since I left the van with the panelbeaters on Friday. Hardly enough to see some slight but important progress. It’s raining on and off right now […]
