No, not really, AT&T is a US ISP with one goal and one only: Creating the most profit from the least possible investment into their network and service. So, yes, the are rotten to the core and totally antidemocratic and fubaring all their clients. But it was maybe exactly that cheap mindset that made them come to the right conclusion and chosing the clever FOSS alternative over a probably very costly offering from Microsoft.
