1001 Nights … or wot? Macho men and their harem of soft girl servants/dancers/whores, I never understood the appeal of sims like these. But please, Second Life has something for everybody.

Surrounded by huge dunes of desert sand in the west and the wide, crystal-blue ocean in the east, Nour seems to be secluded. But far from it! It is pulsating with life! Traders, travelers, dancers, snake charmers, Bedouins, they all add color to the town and so do the omnipresent strains of oriental music and the scent of the rarest spices. Reminds me of some Gorean regions that I occasionally visit as part of my in-world broadcasting gig. Except those have a lot more skin on show, and a lot less civility. 😉

Heck yes! There’s lots of Gorean regions in Second Life, with varying styles and degrees of fidelity to John Norman’s books.

Eh, never read any of the books, and what I have heard from readings by others ain’t my cup of tea. But many of the cities in SL are beautiful, and the occasional dancing competitions and sword-fighting tourneys I’ve covered have been heaps of fun. 🙂

But I guess our little pixelated world is full of Persian/Arabian and very loosely connected Gorean fantasy sims of more or less sexyness. 😉 I was once visiting one for my old blog but can’t find the article neither.
