And the way I see it it’s rather a verification of how great the GNU/Linux system is than a victory for the RedHat company. Because the reasons why huge companies are trusting RedHat are the same why they trust in Microsoft or Apple: A reliable service and customer support, certified technicians and data wranglers and instructors. Everybody knows Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is practically just the commercial version of Fedora so all these companies could’ve gotten basically the same product for fukn free … still they decided to pay for RedHat’s services. I would do the same if I was IT manager in any of those Fortune Global 500 companies.
