Oh, he isn’t a happy fukker that guy. I can see it’s rather depressing for anyone to reach a certain age but he’s a little too dramaqueeny. Nobody can stop the flow of time, it’s on us to make the best with the little time we have.

I told you before to leave your precious cottage in your fishing community and move to New Mexico. Better people deserve your lovely place by he sea! π

Lol… I’m 3 miles inland from the largest port in the US, and adjacent to a bunch of oil refineries. Ain’t no sea lover* movi here!!
*I love knowing the ocean is near, even if I rarely take advantage of that fact.

But…historical reference: Just W of me was a major Japanese fishing community, mostly ruined when citizens were sent to internment camps during WW2.

Far worse, cause it was all Japanese and IRL. They were sent to camps in desolate places because the govt was afraid of them after Pearl Harbor was bombed.
One of the stories is of the fishermen going out in the morning but not returning. The govt gathered them up at sea. Then came for their families after that.

I found the depiction in the movie shocking enuff. Didn’t know America had nazi style concentration camps. And that they put whole families into them: Guilty by ethnicity or sumfink.

Yes, “guilty by ethnicity”. Not just families, entire communities. They lost everything while “relocated” for approx 3yrs.
George Takei was in a camp as a kid and is active in the groups attempting to educate people about them.

Nah…. high camp is from summer camp dressup.
Haven’t rounded up gays yet but the GOP has them, and women, in their eyesight!
