Windsurfing Race Day 22 with Sea Boss Rider at Saint Aubrey

Sanja, Ella, Izi, Lucy, Amy and Ester joined me yesterday on our new courses 4 and 3 with wind form South West and 25knots. The weather was nice and we had only one disconnect crash of Ester in the second race.

This seems to be a new editor for this blog and i tried more than 30min to find out how i can add the explanation text to the pictures and videos as normal, but i failed and i really don’t like this.
See the fleet at the briefing and with a closer look in the video by Hakiria:

We need a different routine and timing at the start of course 4 and 3 as we saw last week already and yesterday as well. I think it will take a of races until all will start again close together. Best starters yesterday were Sanja, Izi and Ella, followed a bit later by Ester and me and then Amy and Lucy at the end (start video by Hakiria)

The first two legs to buoy IS via buoy CS are mostly upwind and on the edge to hiking if you stay much longer on the straight upwind course. But it seems not to be faster. I tried it and couldnt catch up much with the others in front of me. Sanja, Izi and Ella took the advantage of their great starts and leads the race with Sanja sailing away from the two a bit.
See the following video by Hakiria:

On the inserted loop in course 4 i could pass Izi and Ella and i really tried hard to catch up with Sanja, but she was too much ahead and didn’t do me the favor to capsize.
Ester could manage to pass Izi and so they finished in the following order:
1. Sanja, me, 2. Ella, 3. Ester, 4. Izi, 5. Amy, 6. Lucy (see most of it on Hakirias video)

The start with course 3 and SW wind is a bit easier to plan and so the fleet stayed closer together aiming the first buoy CN with full speed. Sanja again with the best start, followed by Ella, me, Ester, Izi and Amy.

Sanja, Ella and me started an exciting duel, which Sanja left by capsizing on the way to buoy IN. I could get a bit more away from Ella at buoy OW with a faster and better turn and on the long fast speed leg to buoy CN Sanja, Izi and Lucy could catch up with Ella again and now those 4 had an exciting duel until the finish line. We all finished in the following order:

Me, 1. Sanja, 2. Ella, 3. Izi, 4. Lucy, 5. Amy (watch the close finish in Hakirias video)

Our traditional beer on the after race party cooled all down a bit after those two exciting races.

Here are the results of the races yesterday:

Oh, that’s what it is. Happiness Engineers noticed we getting used to that stupid thing formerly known as Gutenberg Editor and swiftly decided to throw another stick between our legs. 😮 Those unholy fukarolios! 😐 The thought that I’m paying a premium account for such bad service makes me wanna throw up. 😦
Of course I was looking at my computer and myself as the guilty parties when I had problems adding captions to the photos. Now I’m almost relieved to know that we were just victims of unprofessional IT people.

      • Oh, then I am to white, blue, red, black for the new editor. 😮 YIKES!
I somehow managed to put a caption to a photo, don’t ask me how. It’s not as easy as it was is all that matters and reason enough to hate fukn Automattic.
Say, isn’t WordPress foss? Why doesn’t some other, nicer, company take it under their wings? Or why doesn’t someone with a server host Thar She Blows! for us?

Hey, idea! 🙂 Any biters? Imagine that, we running TSB! on our own, dedicated server. We would have the power to host a forum and some static pages as well. Let’s make a community web presence, like we had in old times.

And then let’s toss Orca and her silly blog out and rename the whole operation into “SL Sailing Community”.

        • i went to what they called “What is new” but i have the feeling thy explained what they wanted to do and not what they did. I couldnt find those menus and buttons they use in the “manual”.
Do whatever you like, but get me the old editor back…. hahaha
