And she’s wonderpretty, Bianca made sure of that.
Only one “sponsor” this time. No fear, a non-commercial hobby project like ArchLinux, won’t pay me but I’m so happy with this fancy Linux operating system, I’m proudly wearing its logo. The stripey hull was a great idea by Bianca and automatically makes the boat at least two knots faster! 🙂
I wanted mostly transparent “foil” sails, so I can navigate by sight and am not totally dependent on the worldmap. One more ArchLinux logo in the jib, an oversized Class40 logo and my ID ORCA in the mainsail. Not overdone, but nice and fresh and light. That’s sailing as Orca understands it.
Of course my beloved Triumphal Yacht Club logo in the genakker is a must for this ex-high cheese and ex-race director of the TrYC.
Ooops, didn’t I say I wanted Linus as the boat’s name, to honour Linus Torvalds the Linux inventor and nowadays head of the kernel group? Not? Ok, Linux is also nice. 😉
What a particularly nice idea by Bianca, to make me a themed bikini. Too bad I’m a selfmade system girl and don’t rock a mesh body, so of course I ran into some fitment issues. 😮
Hey, that was a full success … and unexpectactedly cheap … and quick … and much better than I imagined. 😉 If you peepels have some painting needs for your boats or want a freebie Class40 painted kinda like mine, check out Bianca’s
