Unfriendly reminder of days past. Wasn’t the Spectre/Meltdown threat dead and gone since years already? Hmmm, obviously not. Whatever, me’s just so happy the wonderful and effective geeks of Linux are thinking about protecting lil’ Orcsy from all the bad and evil on the interwebz and let no harm getting close to her.

So, who am I to ask stupid questions or hesitate? See, when you can’t trust your Linux devs – who else will you trust? Particularly since this very lappy toppy is looking at 3 weeks of shady hotel wifi now. 😐 So reading, making snapshot, installing was a thing of but a few seconds.
