To tell you the truth, I’m not convinced this’ll be any good. Let’s find out why after the trailer …
Warrior. Outcast. Rebel. Jedi.
#Ahsoka arrives August 2023 on @DisneyPlus.
Did you notice how videogamey the background graphics look? This doesn’t appear like a grand scale production Disney is confident in pumping much money in, right? The trailer itself, after a lame start, becomes a bit more exciting and promising and shows us some familiar personnel but also two prominent characters from the Rebels anime: Hera Syndulla and Sabine Wren, if I identified them correctly (oh yes, my eyes didn’t betray me). So, this is kinda cool, I always found Rebels to be my fave SW show.
On the other hand there is the fact that even The Mandalorian – Disney’s prime SW show – has tanked in story quality and viewer retention. Seen Grogu lately? Which ain’t not a wonder when you notice what kind of people are “helping” the Star Wars franchise to regain audience trust and boost up subscriber numbers. 😐 Why don’t they hire me? Or any other SW fan? We could tell them where they err and where they lose money.
So I’m really not sure about what we can expect from Ahsoka. Sure, Rosario Dawson tries to introduce an individual hero stance, just like ScarJo, and she looks good doing it. But then on the title shot for the trailer, as shown in Youtube, we see a n00b figure instead of the title character. Disney! Are you fokken serious???
