Lux Æterna has just been released yesterday:
Metallica’s official music video for “Lux Æterna,” from the album “72 Seasons” available April 14th, 2023.
Not their greatest song ever – that would be One – this sounds fresh and uncompromisingly thrashy. Let’s not forget James gonna be 60 soon, and we’ve heard Metallica already sounding much more tired and lame. I guess I would have loved this song if I was still a metalhead and not just an old hag.
But listen and decide for yourself if the new shit is good shit.

That video is defnately something. What a great idea to edit scenes from “Johnny Got His Gun” into the video. Big pathos. Just for listening I always preferred the normal audio version though.
