FYI, this illustration was made 3 years ago by an AD at LucasFilms, so it seems that talks have been on-going for a while. I’m guessing that StudioGhibli’s poor finances contributed to convince them of a tangible collaboration with LucasFilms and Disney… We’ll see what comes out of it.

Oooh. Thx for info, Viv. Didn’t know Ghibli was in financial trubbel. ๐ฎ And the collab exists already since many years far as I know. Don’t they have mutual distribution rights in each country?
