938 days, more than 2.5 years ago, your blogslut went into lockdown. Positively, full of goodwill, sure she did the right thing by obeying the law and do nothing to spread the virus.
The world is different today, not necessarily better but at least we, the ones who have survived the pandemic, are happy to be alive. Many of us have lost loved ones, jobs, money and facing personal ruin. People have lost the trust in our elected leaders, supposedly the best persons our respective countries have to offer.
What a bitter disappointment most of them turned out to be.
So many of us have used this cathartic experience and turned their lives around, quit their jobs, found more meaning in life, more sense in simpler things, and happiness outside of the traditional western lifestyle.
Good for them, good for everybody. Hubby and I took the step, like, 22 years ago, if for different reasons … but with the same outcome. And since then, just by stepping a bit outside off the mainstream we’ve learned a lot about the world, our fellow human beings and about life itself.
But, know who didn’t learn anything from the pandemic, not the littlest thing? Germany’s federal health minister, Karl Lauterbach.

Doesn’t just look like a deranged Bat-Man villain. ๐ฆ
While all around the world things are going back to “normal”, he’s still fighting against Corona and won’t settle down. A bit like Don Quixote was fighting windmills. Same dissociation of reality and his warbled mind. He’s obviously drunken on the power he had never experienced before. Having 88 Million Germans stay at home because he said so, was not good for his sense of judgement.

This article is just 7 days old. The measurements, otoh, seem more like 2 years out of date. ๐ฎ Really, Herr Lauterbach, really?
Unfortunately hubby and I will probably have to return to Germany at the latest in the beginning of 2023. And if Germany then still gives us problems … oh grrrrr. ๐ฆ Know what I mean?
Stepped up measures? I rather see a stepped down Lauterbach.
So my frens, now for the umpteenth time do I hope this was finally the last entry in my Corona Diary. Hope dies last they say. ๐
Whatever you do don’t come to the UK. Our government has rebranded as a comedy club.

You wanna start a fight with me over who has the more fubared govt, Davyd?
Every time our chancellor dares to show his face in public ppl start shouting “Get lost!” Our foreign minister, dat Annalenchen receives nothing but pity since she’s so awkward and stupid and in her excitement barely gets to finish one coherent sentence when she speaks publicly. And our minister for economy is but a trainee in his own dept, since he doesn’t know the first thing about how economy works.
But ok, with Liz Truss’s merely 44 days in no. 10 you made a huge early point, gotta admit that. And if Boris will indeed get a second chance, that’ll beat Germany out of the competiton.
