That’s a big thing in the Linux world, a generational leap from Kernel 5 to 6. Kernel 5 was released in October 2020 and by now Kernel group boss Linus Torvalds (the man, the myth, the legend) found that it had spawned enough little version updates and increments, it was time for a new major number change.

Since I’m such a fancy beetch I’m ahead of the normal Manjaro kernel version. I guess Manjaro is regularly on Kernel 5.15.72, which is already far ahead of all the Debian and Ubuntu Linuxes. But me, I am on par with the “real” Arch. π
