All good, no problems. Only one small thing: Kinda 2 hours in and surfing like a boss and suddenly I’m incapacitated, can’t give any likes, can’t write comments or anything. Wot, whyyyy? Oh shit, I’m not registered on WordPress anymore. Fucque! So I log in again … and 2 minutes later again no Orca in WordPress. Tried it a dozen times by now, even rebooted the system. Doesn’t help.
The Wolf devours Orca’s credentials. ๐ฎ
Shit don’t werk. ๐ฆ
So I’m back on Firefux now. I gave my best, I really tried to be a gud grrl … but no. Hey geeky developers. What’s the big problem with just forking the FireFux and taking out some Mozilla nonsense off the browser without making life on it impossible?
Thanks for sharing the joys and pains of daring to break the chains that bind us. We will Endeavour (OS) to endure and remain vigilante for the proper quest that it is!

That’s what Imma gona do later today: Try the LibreWolf on my Endeavour laptop and see if it makes any difference. And maybe cry for help in the nicest forum.

Sometimes shit just needs to work.

Sometimes? We’re talking computers here, not erroneous hoomanz. I expect shit to werk all the time!
And hubby almost found the solution. When he looked into the Wolf’s settings everything was set to PARANOID high security prison! ๐ฎ So he made it liberal and free again … didn’t help either. ๐ฆ Orca’s logon just doesn’t stick. I can’t do shit … in my own blog. ๐ฎ
Will later today check the EOS forums and look if anyone has brought up the Wolf and how bad it is for normal grrls.

Ooooh! Now I can stay on Firefox and not feel like an idiot ๐

Yes, Becs, by all means: Stay where you are! Otoh staying on Firefox in 2022, pledging alliance to Mozilla is kinda stupid and we should feel like idiots! ๐ฆ But for now, in my book, for my needs it’s still the bestest browsa evaar! Even if it gets worse from day to day.
And after Mozilla’s latest stunt it’s kinda impossible to justify staying another minute on it:

I’m tempted to try Vivaldi again. Had a lot of features I liked.

Yeah, gonna try that. But I love my FF sooooo so much. Why is it so hard to just unmozilla that browser?
My two hopes for the future are DDG and Yandex.

Vivaldi is Chromium based. It can be a bit heavy, but the security is better than Chromium. Plus I like how versatile it is in appearance and layout. They don’t sell any data either. And I can sync what I want. Pick different search engines for normal and privacy mode, etc… I like putting the tabs at the bottom and having all the menus as flyout buttons. Keeps things tidy.

I hear all the Chromium-based browsers are poorly equipped with add-ons. I must at least have the following:
I Don’t Care About Cookies
LEO Dictionaries
Search by Image
uBlockOrigin
YouTube High Definition
YouTube NonStop
YouTube Video and Audio Downloader
And putting in my own search engines is an absolute must! After StartPage turned out to be a traitor we’re on DDG now.

Take Vivaldi for a spin. It’s pretty close now latest version. Highly customizeable.

Looking at the Privacy & Security settings in preferences I notice LibreWolf is set to Strict by default. In Firefox the same settings are at Standard by default. That’s probably the reason some sites break in LibreWolf.

Yes, darling. That’s what hubby told me, too, and set everything to standard. And I was like “My hero!” You should’ve seen our loooong faces 30 secs later, when Orca’s WordPress log-in refused to stick. ๐ฎ
