Long time since we talked Linux, didn’t we?
A good and one less good news: EOS slowly, very slowly, closes the gap to MX. We can be sure, thanks to the convincing power of ArchLinux, it’ll end up on the #1 spot sooner or later. But unfortunately Manjaro’s climb is much slower, even stagnating from time to time. And completely unfair, more than 1,000 HPDs behind the top duo.
Hmmm, maybe it’s caused by the shitty fact that Manjo devs make a destinction between official and community versions. Total nonsense that stopped our faves, Cinnamon and Mate still stuck on 21.1.2, while the stupid officials are already on 21.2.1. Come on! Guys, you could rule the Linux word by now; what’s keeping you?
Come on, out of the three top dogs Manjaro is the most luxurious distro with all the bells and whistles, it is a real crowd pleaser for users who are slightly advanced from the Ubuntu/Mint crowd. I said it before and I say it again: Manjo should be on #1, followed by the Minty goodness and then in place #3 maybe EOS, just for the heck of it. But no, Philip and the gang are too stuck up for their own good.
But I’m not complaining, seeing my personal two top favourites, which I both use daily, inside the Top 3 on the DistroWatch charts feels rather good. It kinda assures me that I’m not completely alone in my tasteful choices.
