Not at all. Nice n fonky. And super duper musicianship all around …
… but I still prefer the original version.
What do you say, peepelz of the interwebz? Yay or nay?
And this here?
No comparison, right?

I’m not a funk fan.. but this was interesting. I’m not keen on the Abba cover – overblown treatment for my slightly conservative taste in music (and probably most other things). Individually good musicians, no doubt, but too many of ’em and for me they just didn’t… ‘gel’.
But the Bill Withers cover.. now that’s a completely different story. Everything just fits together perfectly. Unlike the Abba track, the two individual vocals really compliment each other and their duets harmonise perfectly into one. I love the effect of the tube thingy – no idea what it’s called but it’s kinda groovy (is groovy still a word?) And I think the bass is superb. Stuff like this will turn my head – momentarily – from the classical music that I usually listen to!
Thanks Orca π

Right, the ABBA cover was overdone. Two of Us, while on first impression underwhelming was the better cover version, although not adding anything worthwile to the original. Still both versions are 1000 times better and more fun to listen to than what is in the Top 40 of modern pop music. The stuff Rick Beato calls Low Information Density music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HiJg5NqnFI
That tube thingy is a Talk Box: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5k97sC__JM
And GROOVY is not just a word, it is a THING! A credo to live by. Groovy, baby. xoxo
