… Orca doesn’t really test Linux distros anymore?
She’s found ArchLinux.
And once you’re there you’ve passed the point of no return. 😮
That’s why.

It’s true. Once you made your first home in any Arch(y) system nothing else is good enough for you anymore. Every other Linux distro is kindergarten compared to the greatness of Arch. From the tame Manjaro via Arco and Endeavour, up to real vanilla Arch Linux, you won’t have any other system on your hardware.
Going to give Vanilla Arch a try – trying a few installers first.

Installers are bloat. 🙂 LöL

True – until I’m cleverer, it’s an easy option

Exactly the option I’m taking myself.
For me the options are Manjaro and EndeavourOS. Don’t need the hassle and stress of not only installing but also getting set up that I can do without. Is it so bad to find a ready-to-use AUR and a nicely themed Cinnamon directly after easy-peasy Calamares installation? I don’t think so. 😉
I guess it’s rather clever to make use of what the geeks at Manjo and EOS have figured out for us.

I’ve downloaded the Calam installer already but still hesitating to start the installation process. I know exactly how much labour is waiting for me after install just to get the vanilla Arch up to a standard I can live with. 😮

But you can then say “I use Arch BTW” suerly that’s worth a few hours messing on a spare machine?
You already know your going to do it xxx

Ooof, really? Do I have to? That’s so unfair. Arch Linux with its toxic masculinity. It’s nothing but a tool of the patriarchy, made in order to keep us ladies grounded and helpless in Microsoft’s kitchen. :..(
