Windsurfing Race Day 38 with Sea Boss Rider at Saint Aubrey yesterday

Izi, Ella, Amy, Sanja and Ester joined me yesterday on our windsurfing courses 4 and 3 with wind from South West and 25knots.
Yesterday was not really a day SL can add to their highlight list. In first race were bumpy conditions and in second race 3 disconnects (Sanja, Ester and me).

the fleet at the briefing

Ella, Sanja, Amy and Izi started quite well in race 1. Only me and Ester were a bit sleepy at the start.

a bit after the start

I had them in front of me and could watch them from my Popcorn-position. Sanja and Ella were pretty far ahead and it was too much to catch up with them.

Sanja and Ella far ahead at buoy IS and me chasing Izi

Izi’s animations froze and until she got used to it i could pass her. Behind us Amy and Ester were having a little duel. The most exciting action happened between Sanja and Ella. They had a very close duel and Sanja could manage just to stay in front of Ella.

Congrats to Sanja (1.) for her win and Ella (2.) for making Sanja sweat. After the two me, Izi (3.), Amy (4.) and Ester (5.) finished in safe distance to each others.

The second race is sadly a very short story. It looked as an exciting race after the start when all took different lines for the first leg. SL took Sanja leading the race early out of the race

Ester and me chasing Izi on the way to buoy CS

Shortly after buoy CSyesterday SL took Ester out of the race. So i had now Ella and Izi in front of me and started my chase.

Izi,, Ella and me on the way to buoy IS

At buoy IS i could pass Ella and then SL decided to take me out of the race. And from then Izi, Ella and Amy sailed in safe distance to each others quite lonely races.

at buoy CN: 1. Izi
at buoy CN: 2. Ella
at buoy CN: 3. Amy
the finish: 1. Izi
2. Ella
and 3. Amy

Congrats to Izi for her win of the second race and a big hug to the ones who got disconnected.

after race party at our Tiki Bar

SL helped a lot yesterday to reduce the real fun of exciting duels and we had enough beer after the race to forget most of it.

The highlight yesterday was that we tested Lalia’s race line update (different new modes and the option to connect with lines at other clubs). Our line is special, because we rez it from our marina in the next sim (LL waters) and we found some little errors in it. But we are on a very good way to get the final version soon.

Well, I am sure you could ask LL support for a rezzing zone “““““`in CONWY si that you no longer run into such issues. Considering the racing program at St-Aubray, I am sure they would agree to it.

    • We are not the only ones that could use this line. At Chaos they will use this version for example as well. And the first one worked perfect. Here we have only some little errors with some messages and Lalia is already working on the fixes. So once its done it will be fine again.

      • Jane once asked LL for permission to rez a line in Debelox. That thing is still there and werkz as good as on day one. But it’s not as tricked out as later Hay Ah lines or the ones by Lalia.

        • 1.There is a very narrow raceline 3 sims further east called Oprince. So i think LL wouldnt install a second one so close to it
          2. If Saint Aubrey will ever stop doing theses races, i guess the next owner doesnt want such a big race line just at the front door.
So all together our rezzing line is the best solution for now and later.

          • Buuut look at the lines in Fedallah, Queequeg and Masthead. Three lines packed together in close proximity, in a rather small body of water, Dire Strait. Makes no sense at all, still LL installed them for begging residents.

            • No buuuut!
I don’t know why you all want me to let LL install here a permanent race line.

              1. The last one worked perfect and i have no doubt Lalia will fix this in the same way.
              2. We have the line under control and can add the administrators in it to connect it with the other lines
              3. We can give the line our design and the name of our Race Club
              4. I don’t have to beg and wait for weeks until i might get an positive answer

I don’t say its the only way to do it, but it is our way and when i look at all the things we do different here and all the positive feedback we get i think our way cant be that bad
