Yesterday Lisa, Lucy, Amy (with crew Ester), Ella, Nicci, Hart, Erica, Moon, Rugger and Angus came for our normal course 1 and wind from NW with 21knots. The weather conditions were quite fine, some slow crossings here and there and Angus gave only up the race because of being lost a bit on the course.
At the start were lines of 3 sailors each. Lisa, Nicci and Rugger in the first line. Some seconds behind Amy, Lucy and Ella. At the end followed Moon, Erica, Angus and Hart, who just got the boat and raced the first time ever with us.
Lisa and Rugger took the advantage of their great starts and reached buoy CS first, followed by a “triel” of Amy, Lucy and Ella. Nicci must have messed up the first leg a bit and fell back from 3rd place to 7th place. Erica and Hart following the fleet.
On the next downwind leg to buoy OE Lisa defended her lead over Rugger. Lucy sailed away from Amy a bit and caught up slowly with Rugger and Moon caught up slowly with Ella.
On the following upwind leg to buoy CN we got the same ranking. Only Lucy caught up slowly more and more with Rugger and soon we got two exciting duels. Rugger and Lucy for rank 2 and Ella and Moon for rank 5.
On the reach leg to buoy ON Lucy caught up with Rugger and was already in his neck
Ella and Moon caught up a bit with Amy and they had for some time an exciting “triel”
After buoy OE on the reach leg and the following long upwind leg to buoy OW Lucy passed Rugger and sailed even a bit away from him.
The “triel” caught up slowly with Rugger.
The long way back into the finish via buoy IN, IS, CN and CS is the high speed part in this race with this wind and mostly sailed with spin. Watching them all at the buoys in their duels and then getting right in time on the right position for more good pictures was too hard for me yesterday. They were all just too fast for that.
The ranking stayed mostly the same along this high speed part. Only Amy managed to pass Rugger on the final leg just before the finish line and Moon Ella at the last buoy CS with a better turn.
Lisa finished first and won the race while i was watching the duel of Ella and Moon at buoy CS. Congrats Lisa and sorry i missed your finish picture.
During the race Nicci and Hart sailed somewhere in the second half of the fleet, but unfortunately a bit too far behind the others that i couldn’t catch them two during the race in more pictures.
Congrats to Lisa for her win of the race yesterday, to Hart for her pretty good first race with us in her totally new B22LTE and to all the others for fair and exciting duels.

Next week we will start our new course 2 with wind from North East and 21knots. We will add this course as the normal version you see on the picture and later as the reversed version as well to our library and run these new course with weekly alternating winds as you know it.
Stay all safe and healthy and hope to see you all back next week.
