This horny little fukka is driving me crazy! ๐ฎ

Any of my readers clever biologists and know what sort that birdie is? BTW, does that mean it’s spring now? Jeebuz, this ruckus might go on for weeks and months? ๐ฎ Directly in the shrub next to my window. ๐
And where are neighbour’s katzus when you truly need ’em? Obviously inside, sleeping. ๐ฆ
Per google image search, “lesser swamp warbler” or “reed warbler”

Oh yes, endemic to South Africa, “common species of reedbeds in standing water.” Mhm, fits since we’re living directly at an almost standing creek and a wetlands reserve. Buuut in our garden we don’t have any reedbeds. So what’s he doing here?

He makes a rather desperate impression. Obvsly can’t find his soulmate. I bet the reeds down by the creek and in the wetlands are brimming with female warblers while in our garden he reached a dead end.
