Z A

ZA is the internationally recognized short form of Republiek van Suid-Afrika/Republic of South Africa, as used on nationality bumper stickers you use when driving vehicles abroad. And of course I just had to have one, since I’m a fancy woman. πŸ™‚ Just grabbed some dishwashing liquid and went out to the parking lot to stick that thing on our rear window:

Before …
… and after.

I chose the one with the South African flag. Not because I’m some patriot or sumfink stupid – heck, I’m not even South African – but just because the flag is a colourful hit. Did I mention that I’m a fancy woman?

    • Goes without saying. πŸ™‚

But only here in Africa. In Germany we couldn’t afford neither a house nor a car. We’d rent a small flat and ride public transport.

      • Better a fancy woman in ZA than a bag lady in Germany, I guess. πŸ˜‰ Does Germany even have bag ladies? I met one decades ago, a bag lady wid a cherry tattoo, who lived in a huge underground hole, under an intersectional-expressway system that was being built in downtown Miami. Decades later, I sometimes still think of that poor woman…she loved that hole in the ground.

        • Yes, Germany’s got a lot of hobos, and since Germany is always trying to mimic America since we got the fukn christian-conservatives in govt, the numbers of homeless people are going up. Some of ’em are female. They can find shelter in govt-procured shelters but I guess they are such bad places, ppl prefer to sleep outside. But hey, living in a safe little disabled-compatible apartment with medical personnel, managed by the public health insurance, is a far cry from bagladyism. πŸ™‚

My bro-in-law lives in such an institution, and is happy as a clam there. When he is there and not out and about in his mobile home, roaming through Scandinavia.
