Race Day 32 with Bandit 22LTE at Saint Aubrey

Lisa, Amy (with crew Ester), Ella, Erin, Sea, Nicci, Moon, Mystiere (with crew Raccheal), Cilian and Rugger came yesterday for our reversed B22 course with wind from North West and 21knots. The weather conditions were sunny with a unfortunately one disconnect for Rugger in the middle of the race.
Poor Nicci had some issues with her USB. Seemed she loaded the wrong one and so she followed and chased the fleet on sight.

BTW when you start a video and wanna watch it full screen then click on it with your right mouse key and choose “open in new tag”. There you can watch it full screen or even download it if you really like it.

The start went well. Cilian was a bit early and had to go along the line and Rugger on the north end of the line was close to miss it or barge Lisa. But all went fine.
Rugger, Lisa, Cillian, Amy and Nicci started parallel within 2sec followed parallel by Sea, Ella and Erin only 3 sec later and Moon and Mystiere at the end.

Lisa used her good start and line best on the way to buoy CS. The others spread out more along the way and came back together at buoy CS.

After the first reach leg at buoy CN you can decide to turn small and start the upwind leg to buoy IS right away or like most of the fleet did, use the speed from the reach leg and take it with you to go first more north and tack then with the right line to buoy IS.

the different strategies after buoy CN (video by Noe)

On the long upwind to buoy IS Lisa sailed more away from Amy who did the same with Rugger and Moon.

At buoy IS: 2. Amy, 3. Rugger, 4. Moon and they looked quite safe in their positions

Behind the first 4 it got pretty crowded at buoy IS.

the chasing fleet still close together at buoy IN
at buoy OW: Amy and Rugger followed by Moon and Ella
and the chasing crowd: Erin, Sea, Mystiere, Cilian and Nicci

After buoy OW the long high speed part started around Degrand Island via buoy ON, CN to buoy OE. Unfortunately after Moon started an exciting duel with Rugger it looked as if Rugger was just disconnected by SL and left the race.

on the way to buoy ON: 1. Lisa, 2. Amy, 3. Moon, 4. Ella, 5. Sea, 6. Erin (video by Noe)

Erin could pass Sea between buoy ON and CN.
When you ever wondered why Lisa is sailing mostly ahead, then just watch her sailing to buoy OE, her nearly perfect turn around buoy OE and how fast she accelerates again after buoy OE. Her turns nearly all look perfect like this.

Nicci could pass Mystiere on the last upwind leg to buoy CS and caught up very close with Sea on the final downwind leg to the finish.

Congrats to Lisa for her win, congrats to Moon who started second last and finished third, congrats to Nicci for her awesome finish on the last legs and congrats to all for fair and exciting duels along the course.
And million thanks to my two video girls Hakiria and Noe for their awesome videos.
