I wasn’t the only one who thought a 14-day lockdown won’t be nearly long enough to get rid of the fukn pandemic. Look here, even scientists are thinking the same. Smart people, really smart.
Sometimes I kinda lose trust in our wise leaders. People, we’re living in a global pandemic!!! Maybe it’s time to think less about political strategies but concentrate on getting as many of your population through this crisis alive and healthy. Really, Cyril, fuk the business community, listen to the medical experts! All those half-cooked, compromised lockdown levels will only make the pandemic and the suffering last longer. ๐ฆ
And 14 days is also the time our newly acquired foodstuffs will last us before we die of hunger. ๐
I hope you people are doing gud. Tell me, how’s the situation in your neck of the woods? Your rulers also comforting you with nice talks and mostly concerned about saving the economy? Or do you have some cool heads in charge? I guess as long as you’re not a citizen of Brasil you’re good. Sorry Lucy, can’t you do anything about “Tropical Trump”?

All’s well in my little section of the world. Masking encouraged, even for vacc’d peeps, due to Delta variant – but not required. From what I’ve seen, people mostly already decided whether or not they’d stay masked. The few places I’ve been have still required masks – but I haven’t been to stores, restaurants, etc.

“Masking encouraged”? Isn’t that a bit … useless? Either all or none are wearing masks, if only half the people do it it becomes meaningless, no? Here in SA I won’t be able to enter any store without my mask but at least most businesses are still open … except my gym. ๐ฆ

Mask mandate and 99% of restrictions were lifted on the 15th. I think roughly 70% of the state is vaccinated. Now masking is by choice only… for those of us who prefer to maintain caution.

Oh yes, I forgot how far you were with the vaccination program. Did you feel any side effects? Please say no, I’m such a scaredy cat. ๐ฎ

Not one. Didn’t even feel the shot – they use super-fine needles.
A couple friends had minor reactions – similar to mild 24hr flu.

I had my 2nd shot a week ago and haven’t noticed any reaction at all.

Thx you two. Now is just the question if Germany has enough vaccines by now or still just clowning around. They won’t accept our SAfrican vaccine I guess. And hubby can’t be vaccinated anyway with his overactive immune system.
