Good mechanics work late hours, genius mechanics work the whole weekend!
Just got sent new pics in WhatsApp:

Looking good, looking fancy, looking … expensive, very expensive! 😦
But, know what? It’s worth it! Much more than than his predecessor, Turdy the ’76 Chevy, Oubaas is a real rarity, serves a purpose, is fun, doesn’t break down every 50 meters and makes a really good restomod project. Which means once he’s finished we can sell him for a multitude of what we put into it now. A good investment. But why sell such a dream van?
When Oubaas is done I expect you to make a full, itemized report of the costs.

Oh yes, same as with Turdy before, I collect every little receipt and bill of all costs in connection with Oubaas. Well, except petrol and car wash stuff. But what do you mean with “done”? Oldtimer restomods aren’t ever completely done, always an ongoing project.

Of course it will never be done, but still, it will be interesting to see what you get for what you pay.

Hah! I know that already. Sometimes you get a lot for remarkable little money, sometimes you just get stories for your money … and sometimes all you get is a refusal of service. 😦
