Sanja, Lucy, Ella, Ester, Adeli, Amy and Alya joined me on our normal courses with wind from South and 25knots.
Weather conditions were generally sunny but with local showers as i mentioned in former blogs already.
Adeli was already slowed down the whole week with several boats by strange turn around in the middle of sims and on crossings and it continued yesterday. Alya crashed in both races and probably because of her instable internet.
I tried to compensate the awesome videos of Hakiria because she isnt back from her Easter trip yet, but well its difficult to race and film…
On the way to buoy IS in second lap a monster BBX yacht crossed the fleet. Most could avoid hitting that tourist boat, but the driver seem to panic when he/she saw Sanja and me, turned and stopped, but unfortunately right in front of Amy. She lost at least 30sec with that.
I tried to be fast with finishing, mooring, turning cam to the back, getting the right view and catching the finish of Ella and Ester, but they were to fast and Ella left already my screen and Ester was already over the line when i could take the next picture.
I was just a blink overearly at the second start, had to sail back and start again. But when you look at the start times of the others in the results you will see all started really good and they were already far away when i started. That was the reason that i couldnt take pictures, because i didnt see someone… smiles. I passed Amy and Ester at the second buoy and Ella at the last buoy, but i had to turn myself… so no chance for a picture. The only picture i could take was after the last buoy with Sanja and Lucy in front of me.
Ella finished shortly after me again in the second race and i couldnt catch her in a picture again.
Congrats to Sanja winning both races and all the others for great surfing. Sorry for Alya who started nicely but could get the reward of finishing.
