The weather conditions were pretty fine yesterday. Nicole, Lisa, Lucy, Laured, Adeli, Reni, Nicci, Erika, Ella, Moon and Rugger came for e really exciting race on our normal course with wind from South East and 21knots.
Some mentioned rough crossings, but only Rugger crashed on the second last leg yesterday and i guess he hit again the very dangerous sim cross there.

The start went pretty well. Adeli, Laured, Nicole, Lisa, Moon and Ella started close together within 11sec. Lucy, Rugger and Erika followed them only a bit later. Reni must have had some issues at the start and followed nearly a minute later. Nicci was a little too optimistic and was overearly. She had to come cack and started again behind all.

At buoy CN Adeli made a penalty circle because of not leaving enough room at the buoy and fell back a bit

After buoy ON several couples found together to have their private duel. Lisa caught up slowly with Nicole and they were fighting for the lead.

Lucy and Moon found together for their exciting duel. Adeli caught up slowly with Laured again.

The fight for the lead became really exciting now. After buoy IS Nicole chose the more northern route while Lisa went first more south. On this leg Lisa passed Nicole.

Lucy could pass Moon with choosing the southern route as well

On the following leg we have a really dangerous sim cross which Rugger must have hit again and crashed after a well sailed race

On the last upwind leg into the finish Nicole stroke back and passed Lisa again

Thank you Nicole and Lisa for a great duel for the lead and congrats Nicole to win it.

The next 4 finished within 12 sec. It doesnt sound very excitining but look yourself:

The race saw a lot of exciting duels, great catch ups and position changes. It wasnt easy to remember all actions i saw in the race, but i hope i got them all.

Next week USA will be already on summer time. We will keep the european starttime stable and will adjust the SL time, which means SLT will be one hour later. Europe will follow with their summertime 2 weeks later and then all will be normal again.
Stay all safe and healthy and hope to see you all next week again.
hugs and kisses
Bianca
Nicole has the better eyes than me. She told me that Reni missed the line on the south end and yes she is right. That explains why Reni started with 58sec. Thank you Nicole

“Ella in her first race with us got the job to pick up the empty beer bottles this time”
Oh pleez, ppl don’t treat our grid as if we had a second one!
LOL

Girls, you don’t get it, right? You just don’t get it. The thing is not who clears up all the rubbish but to avoid it in the first place!
Like in RL, no boat I’ve ever sailed on had any rubbish going into the water! We had enough space to take the beer and food aboard before the cruise/race, so there’s still enough space to keep it after we’re done with it. Remember beer cans? Easily compressed to 1/4 their original size. All the food packaging? Left at the “ships chandler with 4 letters” (ALDI) before putting it in the crew shuttle in the first place. So on all “my” boats not even a teabag went overboard. Ciggie butts, unfortunately, went into the sea. But that was the only thing ever. At least on boats where I was the logistics officer/housekeeping/janitor. 😐
I know in SL this is just a theoretical problem … BUT we shouldn’t even joke about throwing glass bottles overboard! Or tin cans … or anything really.

Much worse were/are the duck family between the ancient lighthouse and the entrance to the Dunai sims. Dunno how often we begged LL to set them to phantom but they never did. 😮

But Orcsi, I just followed the directions of this ad:

“Throw the can away when it’s empty!”
That’s exactly what we did for all those years, didn’t we? Not even thinking about the can’s material mix being 3 – 4 times more valuable than its content.
BUUUUT we never, NEVER EVER threw the empties over board when sailing!
We waited until we were in any marina and told the boys to get rid of them at the rubbish containers while we prepared the evening meal. Mostly “Shit on a Shingle” or for Germans “Reis mit Scheiß” … or just spaghetti. 😉

“On the last upwind leg into the finish Nicole stroke back and passed Lisa again”
Well… actually..she passed me just after CN.
i got stuck for many seconds after buoy CN.. boat not moving. keys not responding…. part of the game.. SL Gods decided for it but when i was passed i was not moving and the following chase was not enough Great race with a big “lottery” part at least for me.
My hope is that my issues with sim crossing will finish today in the same way they appeared yesterday afternoon before the race.
Hugs to all

Ye Lucy this is what happened to me suddently starting from around 4 PM Eu time.. Similar things happening to Adeli but not to other users. So it is very difficult to understand the cause and the feeling is something server side but… “user oriented” … .. Another symptom of this issue is … after a sim cross in the very middle of the line , far from the coner.. you see your boat sinking of flying and your dot on minimap goes to the corner… you stay like this for 5 / 10 seconds then you see yourself again 100 meters ahead and you take control again… I must say that i disabled script error messages so i dont know if all of this happens with a script error or not.. Ty for sharing

they did the rolling restarts on main channel yesterday. Most of our race area should be on that channel.
Maybe they tried new bugs in their new softeware…

“Maybe they tried new bugs”
What a super duper customer service they provide!
“Our residents are dying from cancer? Hmm, maybe we should put asbestos in our sims, see if that helps?”
