Yesterday we did our reversed B22 course with wind Nort West and 21knots. The conditiona were mainly fine with 3 locally hard showers that let Erin, Alvar and Cilian not finish the race, but Lisa, Adeli, Jenna, Reni, Lucy, Laured, Nicci, Erika, Delphine, Rugger and Moon finished a really exciting race.

We kept and will keep in the future the longer raceline we used already last Sunday with the IMocca race. With our rezzing trick from the marina we cant rez buoys for orientation, but all managed very well to cross the line and got registered.
Hakiria isnt there the whole week and that is why you wont see the awesome long start and finish videos today, but only the shorter ones i made during the race.
The start was close and here and there a little laggy with 14 boats, but in the end all made it well over the line
Adeli and Moon had an exciting duel on the first leg for the lead, followed a bit by Lisa, Reni and Rugger. The second half of the fleet only a but behind, but close together as well.

Moon seemed to have the normal course loaded and did here and there some detours. That was the reason why he fell back and out of the leading group.

After buoy CN they started their longer upwind part to buoy OW and used two parallel lines, one a bit more north with Adeli, Lisa, Rugger and Jenna and Reni and Lucy a little more south.

A little later the fleet reached buoy OW and started the long high speed part to buoy ON and CN. Until here all boats were amazingly still close in one sim together and you could watch a cloud of dots sailing on minimap.
After buoy OW Adeli and Lisa switched on their Turbo with brilliant code and spin legs and sailed away from the fleet and starting their own exciting duell for the lead until the finishline. Behind them position were changes several times and we got two close fighting groups of 4 boats each.

Between buoy ON and OE Lisa used the windshadow to pass Adeli and took the lead.

Moon (7th) and Laured (8th) came only a bit later in, but on a different line and until i got my screen adjusted for their finish picture they were already through. Sorry you two that i missed you.

Sometimes on the high speed part Erika crashed, came back and continued sailing. But the fleet was too fast yesterday and she fell back to the end of the fleet.

When you look at the results you will notice if Erika wouldnt have had her crash all 11 boats would have finished within less than 2min with a racetime around 28min. The fleet grows slowly together and i am looking forward for a lot more exciting duels. Next week we will change back to the normas course and wind from North East.

We had 3 new sailors yesterday at our race. Unfortunately Erin and Alvar couldnt finish, but after one week of learning and practicing Delphine did her first race in her new boat and finished 10th. Well done Delphine.
Stay all safe and healthy and hope to see you all again next week.
hugs and kisses

“Erika crashed, came back and continued sailing.”
How is that even possible? Back when I was sailing my last races, either your boat was returned to you, stuck somewhere and upon reentering the racewind was gone. Crash inevitably meant you were out.
And anyway, once you found your boat and got yourself sorted out the fleet already had such a huge advancement, you’d have no chance of ever catching up with them.
Lindens must have magicked something nice for us sailors. 😉

getting back on your boat can happen, but there is no guarantee for that. And yes all you mentioned can happen as well… Thats why i mention when someone was successful to finish after a crash
