Weather conditions were pretty good yesterday. Balut and Moon could continue after some technical issues and only Rugger crashed, because of hitting a 4-way-cross.
We sailed yesterday our normal B22 course with wind North West and 21knots.

The fleet managed to start all within 20sec (including the restarting Lucy). Well done everyone.

Lucy was a bit optimistic at the start and a little overearly. She reacted fast and sailed in front of the fleet fast around the line buoy, started again and chased the fleet. You will see in the end she did very well on her chase.

As you can see the “fleet of Jenna chasers” stayed very close together the first half of the race. The long and with NW wind very tricky upwind leg to buoy OW let them spread a bit. Rugger, Reni, Lucy and Adeli stayed close together, fought fair and exciting and changed positions several times on their way to buoy CS.

Moon and Balut had some issues and fell back behind the fleet.

Rugger hit a 4-way-cross on his second last leg to buoy CS and sadly crashed after sailing awesome on second place. So the exciting 4some was reduced to an exciting 3some of Reni, Lucy and Adeli.

Congrats Jenna for the win and congrats Adeli, Reni and Lucy for an exciting but always fair fight along the second half of the race.
I hadnt had Balut much on my radar after his issues. So i couldnt catch him often in a picture, but Hakiria got his finishing.

Nine (9) boats! Wowowowowow! I’m overall very impressed with the quality of your racing fleets, Bia. Remember in the beginning when some of them obviously didn’t even know that a timely start is of benefit for the individual race result … and these days they even master mass starts without chaos and finish the races without much fouls and penalties. It’s a joy to read your reports these days.
And before you ask what about me joining your races. My repair lady is still waiting for the fancy AMD parts. Her supplier seems to have supply problems of their own. They offered and sold her stuff that is not available right now. 😦

Oh they do! But I’m not gonna race on this office warrior/Linux test hardware. Would only lead to tears. :..(
