Or, as they’re known in the hi-fi world, B&W, are hubby’s favourite loudspeaker manufacturer. He has a thing for British audiophilia you must know. We had his pair stowed away in some dark part of the garage, and now since some years inside the house. Since we don’t have a TV nor a hifi in the lounge anymore and hubby was happy with his par of active Logitech computer speakers and I with my Yamaha mini hifi, his glorious B&Ws were kinda forgotten … until today!
Hubby was watching videos on YouTube and stumbled over some hifi channels … and remembered his old treasure and got the hots for his old pair of speakers … and asked me to install them on my desk.
Look! Holy shit!

Not that the Yamahas sounded bad in any way but, ok, these are much better and richer in sound quality and more bassy and dance party and … OMG! They are sooo huuuge on my desk!!! Not really near-field monitors. Dunno if I can get used to the size and sight. 😐
Ooohhhh… rich music!! Niiiiice!!

Nice! I just scored some new logitech 2.1 after my mackie’s finally flaked all the way out. Logitech is much better than mackie, although those look great as well. Cheers.

Friend of ours worked for Roland, who own Mackie, and I know them only as professional studio monitor manufacturers, 10 stations above Logitech’s computer kiddies’ noisemakers … and 100 times more expensive, too.

Maybe so in a certain caliber. But not what I had. A defective L/R switcher. For the same amount of money I got 400W vs 40W for $100 w/ no defective switch. Just saying.

Sweet speakers for your computer set up. Way better than any Logitech piece of Chinese woofers, thin wires and small magnets. No comparison. Either for the computer or for the garage, or rear speakers on 5.1 or 7.1 hifi system.

Rear speakers? I’d never! No surround space wasting shit for hubby n me. I’d kill him if he attempts to fill up the house with tek shit. These were our main speakers way before any of the 5.1 active shit ever came out. Unfortunately one of them makes a rasping noise, and it won’t get better. We tried to reach out to the B&W representatative here in town but received no answer yet. So back in the box they went and my Yammies are on again.
