The weather connection were ok yesterday. Walthard got disconnected in second race, but returned and finished and Lucy gave up after loosing control and ending up in some docks.

Lucy, Sanja, Larry and Walthard joined me yesterday at TrYC on our Windsurfing courses with South wind and 21knots.

The first race saw Sanja, Walthard and me starting first and close together followed a bit later by Lucy and Larry. Sanja, Walthard and me were still close together until the second buoy and Larry and Lucy caught up slowly. At the third buoy i could pass Walthard with a better tack and sailed slowly away from the fleet.

During the briefing i ask everytime for a race check “Course loaded in USB, start timer resetted to 00:00:00, minimap open, map open?” and i get mostly a “checked” back.
Well, Walthard thought he checked all and all was ok, but he had loaded the reversed course twice and because of that he was confused about the direction he got from the navigation system. He toggled several times between the two loaded windsurfing courses and didnt realise that they are the same. So he decided to follow the dots in front of him.
In the meantime Sanja passed him and Larry and Lucy caught up. The four stayed pretty close together until the end of the race and had an exciting foursome.

BTW see Walthard and me finished in “frozen position”. Result of some script errors.

In the second race Sanja, Larry, Walthard and me started very close together followed a bit later by Lucy.
I could pass Larry with a better tack at the 4th buoy and started chasing Sanja. Maybe that made her a little nervous, because after closing up more and more she went swimming 4 buoys later and let me pass her.

In the meantime Lucy ended up in one of the docks after loosing control and gave up.
Sanja and Larry kept their postitions without any more swims and finished behind me.
The brave Walthard came back unnoticed from all, follwed the fleet until his finish (i changed the result for him manually).

It was a really exciting first race. The second race was influenced a bit by sl unfortunately. But all together it was a fun race day again.
