… will hopefully be able to shake off her bad Star Wars experience with movies like Chaos Walking. Even if it’s another SciFi drama. 🙂 And Tom Holland … well, he’s already saved and in all the movies right now.

Hmm, not sure if I like it. Seems well made but unspectacular. Run down western-ish towns, poor and stupid populace (all men of course), lots of foresty forest … the typical apocalypse survival fare. Where have we seen such setting before? Oh yes, right: Only in every other scifi, zombie, rogue govmt movie. 😦 And like in most other apocalyptic movies Chaos Walking is based on some YA novels. Pffff, groundbreaking is something different.
And escapism it totally is not.
Where are my exploding space ships, my aliens, my heroic stormtroopers, my rebels, my blasters, my noble heroes and bikini clad heroines?
What we get to see are Ridley and Holland in crumpled raincoats. Very sexy. Not!
