We had some local showers on a mostly fine day. Lisa, Viv, Lucy, Nicole, Nicci, Sea, Moon, Deacon, Juicy, Rugger and Baluta met for the race on our B25R course with North East wind and 18knots. (Only) Sea, Rugger and Baluta didnt finish, but I dont have detailed informations why they maybe crashed.

With this wind its a spin start and the Triumphal exit can be very narrow at this speed with so many boats. But it all went very well.

Nearly all went around the buoy 2 safe. Only Sea got a little issue and missed the buoy, went back and went around it.

The group of the 5 chasers of Lisa changed into an exiting threesome between Moon, Lucy and Viv and an exciting duell between Nicole and Deacon.

The corner of Dunai Lower, Dunai and Dunai West is a very tricky one and this corner decided the sorting of this really exciting threesome. Viv tried to cut the corner, but the island rezzed too late for her and she got stopped by the beach there. A little later after the crossings Lucy had to resit to get the control of her boat back. Moon took the chance and passed both. Viv got free before Lucy got control back and passed Lucy.

Sea must have crashed somewhere on the last 3 sims before finish, which is really bad luck after the exciting racing she had with Nicci and Juicy nearly the whole race.

I am very sure i saw Lucy finishing 4th very close behind Viv, but i guess she just disappeared in the moment i shot the picture. Sorry Lucy.

Please excuse my rezzing speed on some of my pics. But all pictures and videos were helpful to show the excitement of yesterdays race.
Congrats for an awesome race and win to Lisa. She sailed away from the fleet after buoy 2 a bit, didnt do any mistakes and mangaged her lead relaxed to the finishline. Behing her the chasing herd seemed to have lots of real exciting fun.

11 boats!
Elfukneven!!!
Wowowowwhoa!
And you think it was “exciting”?
Girly, 11 boats is a fleet size like what we had in 08, 09 … with the newest and hottest boats … on a good day. You seem to do something extremely right, Bia. Just being a TrYC RD doesn’t give you guaranteed rock star status, you built this fleet size yourself!
Congratz. My imaginary hat is off to you. 😉

Lucy does as far as i know… but i am not sure if she crashes less with that… i am not the best promoter for Linux. I cant use it myself and if i dont burn for it how can i warm up someone else for it, can i?

“i dont burn for it”
/me hands Bia a pack of matches. Burn baby burn!
No, wait. We don’t wanna set you ablaze BUUUUUT …
What do you mean ‘you can’t use it’? You got a computer, a keyboard, a mouse/trackpad, right? Ok, you can use Linux!
We’re all done here.
Lucy’s crashorolia comes from bad connection and some fascist spying by her govmt. Linux won’t help with that, as nifty as it is it can’t defy the laws of physics and make your internet faster. It will keep you alive for longer on a wobbly konnekshun but cannot speed you up.
Do you have a spare machine? Good. Go here https://linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=281 and download it from one of the Germany servers, the one closest to you or fastest … Then install, run into trubbelz and come whining to me so I can say “Silly girl, you doing it all wrong! Do this and that instead.” And then you’ll be another happily converted penguin. 🙂
Didn’t you read Becca’s very good story?

1. No i dont have a spare machine
2. I have now about 300 boat textures and i use Coral Draw Paint Shop. There is no version of that for Linux and i it doesnt make any sense for me to learn a new Paintsoftware.
