Race day 29 with Bandit 25R at TrYC

The weather conditions were like the whole week, not too bad but still giving most of us lots of script errors. Laured isnt yet very experienced with them and had her first between buoy 2 and the wreck, lost too much time to continue and gave up. Yesterdays the record holder was Dahlia with 5 resits. I had only one but it was my own fault after crossing a corner.
Lucy, Nicole (with crew Emileigh), Laured (with crew Zoe), Yvonne and Dahlia joined me on our B25 course with wind from North East and 18knots.

looked a bit messy at the briefing but was a relaxed start

Laured, Nicole, Yvonne and me started well and close together and only Lucy and Dahlia started a little sleepy. Laured and Yvonne had an exciting duell until Laured gave up with technical issues and then Lucy chased Yvonne the rest of the race, but couldnt really catch her. Nicole sailed quite safe between Lucy and Dahlia and i sailed safe in front of all.

Yvonne finishes
Lucy finishes
Nicole finishes
Dahlia finishes

Shame that SL still influences the races with the still existing script errors. Otherwise we would have seen a great duell seen by Laured, Lucy and Yvonne.

  1. Oh my. 😐 Bia, you have the feeling they are doing anything to make it better? Or are they just waiting until the migration is complete and only then start doing something. And what became of the weekly restarts, they stopped that good habit, too?

    • well i guess they will first finish the migration, will try to fix the new Bugs they create with that first and risk lots of frustrations with the old bugs
and about the rolling restarts i understood that they will include the migrated sims into their restarts.
I wonder more if they keep our race area around TrYC still together or if i have to ask for that again…

        • So LL didn’t even migrate all 48 Blake sims in one go? Oh man. I thought they had them nicely grouped together on as few as possible servers. Hmmm…

          • Well, my understanding was that the server choice was more or less random with automated balancing of the charge across all the servers available.
However, it appears that 11 of the 12 migrated regions are hosted on the same cloud server.
The version is another issue and depends on the nature of the region (regular or RC channel)

            • After several tickets and questions to move TrYC race area on the same channel they finally moved it to Main channel… and i hope i dont have to get out all the tickets again for our area…
