Windsurfing Race Day 32 with Sea Boss Rider at TrYC

The weather conditions were more like autumn yesterday, 3 crashes or not finishes in first race and one in second race. Lucy, Viv, Sanja, Lalia and Phil joined me yesterday on our Windsurfing Course with 21kots wind from the south.

fleet relaxed at the briefing

Sanja and Lucy started a bit in front of all others in the first race and had an exciting Duell the whole race. Lalia and Phil were quite early already fighting with the script errors and the frozen animations. Viv back after her break needed to test the water around Dunai and went for a swim in first race, but she continued and had a great sight on the fight in front of her. It took me some buoys to catch up with Lucy and Sanja and some more to pass the two. But we were pretty close together until 70m before the finishline. Then SL decided to disconnect me and Lucy won. Because of my late crash i couldnt take any Pictures of the first race.

Second race Viv started a little sleepy behind all others and because of that i was a bit too early at the line i had to do a circle to avoid crossing it overearly and started then even behind Viv.
But at the first buoy all were still quite close together.

the fleet at buoy 1

On the way to buoy 2 i tried to catch up more with the others and didnt see that Viv tacked very early. We met and unfortunately she had ROW and i did my penalty and started a new chase lonely between the first 3 (Lucy, Sanja and Viv) and behind me Lalia and Phil (who crashed again a buit later). Lucy, Viv and Sanja had an exciting race until the finishline and thank to Viv and Lucy we got a finishing pictures this time.

and a little later Lalia

We saw again in both races exciting fights between the 3 leading ones and all improved during the year a lot so you can not really say before a race who will win in the end. Even doing the same courses with different winds we have every week a different race and a lot to talk about it after the race with a fresh cold beer.
Viv told us that Palani might give up his Eki sims at the end of this year. So i will try to use that area every second week until the end of the year. Next week we will be in in Eki again.

Stay all safe and healthy and hope to see you all back next week.

hugs and kisses

  1. Actually, in the 2nd race, I was early on the line and had to circle around to take the start, just like you !
I was wondering how you ended up behind me after my delayed start. I understand better 😉
