In SA we’ve plateaued but according to the gov’mt we’re not lowering our guard. Bravo!
Statement on Ministerial Advisory Committees (MAC’s) in Health
We have now confirmed, both with the NICD and World Health Organisation Surge Team reports, that we are now past the surge and that our epidiomelogical curve has demonstrated a plateau for several weeks. Therefore, based on the conduct of the South African pandemic, we have re-evaluated our national response and identified new challenges that require new approaches. To quote from a publication in the highly respected medical journal The Lancet, author Richard Horton observes that “The ‘science’ that has guided governments has been driven mostly by epidemic modelers and infectious disease specialists… but what we learnt so far tells us that the story of COVID-19 is not so simple… The [syndemic] nature of the threat we face means that a more nuanced approach is needed if we are to protect the health of our communities.” (Horton, The Lancet Vol 396 September 26 2020). Indeed these sentiments do align with with our own observations, as such we have now reevaluated the progress of the pandemic and the work of the MAC on COVID-19 and resolved that this MAC requires strengthening to ensure that it is able to address gaps and target new challenges.
Okay, sounds good. At least the SA gov’mt still ranks human lifes a bit more valuable than the economy and profit.
And what Orca Flotta, respectively OhOrca Oh, did this morning …

When I logged her in, Oh was still a cloud and after some hapless fiddling I gave up and n00biefied her and piece by piece built her up again. Even the Kalhene demo noggin and bod are showing and, as promised, are super duper easy to bend into shape. I like it and will buy the avie for Orca. It’s the cheapest and easiest way to join the majority of Bento/mesh bishies and not look like the totally outdated granny I totally am but be en-vogue again … LOL, as if I ever was. 😐
Anyhoo, the Kalhene torso lets me keep my sporty tits and with some better detailing I hope to get Orca back kinda similar to how she always looked.
Hey girlfriends, do you know if I can keep and still wear my oldschool hairs? Old skin doesn’t seem to be a problem. What you say?
People, do it like the Africans, don’t let your guard down but wear your masks, keep social distance, eat healthy, sanitize the world around you and, as always, fukn survive!

Nice to see 1 country is trying to do things right, rather than greedy!

Our good friends from China will help us out if things become too bad I guess. But oh, SAfricans are greedy gangstas, all of ’em. Corruption is blooming, many companies are trying to turn the pandemic into moneymaking schemes, lots of help funds disappearing in private wallets before ever reaching the rightful recipients. And those bad people are to be found in gov’mt, too. 😮

Well, I think that’s universal now. Even the country that prioritizes happiness, Bhutan, has trouble with corruption and greed.

Your old hairs will work just fine. Flexis will still drift thru your shoulders and use up lots of prims, unlike mesh. Unless your complexity is though the roof, with your cute short hair you never need to worry bout that 🙂

Yes, pheeew. Fortunately I’m a lifelong fan of short hairs, always was. So why would I wear then long in SL?
And anyway it’s not the amount of prims crashing us but scripts!

Yeah I’ve tried various hairs with Kalhene and they fit well. I’m currently working on my Kalhene to create a look I call ISA. Another weird character? Probably lol

Neiter do I Isabelle. It was the first thing popping up in my brain pan when I saw ISA. The ISA-belle connection I only made later.
