Race Day 24 with Bandit 25R at TrYC

Let me the weather condition explain a bit like this. Overall we had good conditions, but locally different number of rainshowers. What does that mean? All boats finished. But the script Errors with the broken cam hit us differently. Nicole and me didnt have to resit at all, Yvonne once, Dahlia 3 times and poor Lucy even 5 times.

But back to the race action. Dahlia had the best timing at the start and left Triumphal first followed by the rest of the fleet. Only Lucy had her first resit already in Triumphal. Half way between buoy 1 and 2 Dahlia had to resit first time and i could pass her. Yvonne and Nicole followed. Yvonne announced her resit at buoy 2 and Nicole could pass her.
Lucy tried hard to catch up with Dahlia but with two more resits than Dahlia she got always slowed down again and had not really a chance to catch up much closer with Dahlia. Yvonne caught up with Nicole after her resit more and more and after buoy 6 Nicole chose the North route around the Roman boat (it is faster with B22LTE) while Yvonne took the classic route more south passing the wreck. Yvonne passed Nicole on her route, entered Dunai area before Nicole and managed to stay in front until finish. I was lucky having no technical issues and could sail relaxed in front of the race. So you can say i was the one with most luck in this race.

The fleet at the briefing before the start
Yvonne finishing
Nicole finishing
Dahlia finishing a bit before Lucy

And here is the result from yesterday:

Standing overall TrYC 2020 B25R Championchip (after 24races):
Sailor – points – number of races
Yvonne 87 19
Lucy 82 20

The time for the pure resit is just around 10sec plus realising the issue maybe 15sec. But the accelerating to the speed from before the stop takes a lot more so i would say you loose probably 30sec maybe a little more with every resit and that influenced the race yesterday pretty much. But dont let us forget the better route of Yvonne on the long upwind back to Dunai which was pure race action and that all boats finished. Lets hope LL will fix the script error reasons soon and we can enjoy the whole time race actions again.

Stay all safe and healthy and hopw to see you next week again.

hugs and kisses

  1. Unbelievable! 😮 Will they ever get this right? But, no, fix the scripts and sim xings is just hard work and not sexy. So they rather gives is new shinies all the time. Windlight, sculpties, mesh, bento all that nonsense. And fukall is done about the basic functionality of the grid. 😦

    • and its getting worse. For example a Nacra was alway a pretty stable boat and now Sunday lag gave me the frozen avi on the Nacra as well at hotlaps, i could continue sailing but like on the Windsurfer it looks totally strange when avi is on one side and sails on the other side and addional you have no clue actually where your avi is when you hike…
