Race Day 9 with Bandit 22LTE at TrYC

LL moved our whole race area and our race course to one channel with one Server Code. This wont stop the crashes, but i hope we will get less over the time. Yesterday we had still 3 of them.
Nicole, Lucy, Lisa, Jenna, Magalie, Yvani and Moon came to our new race time 30min later to sail our B25 Course with South East wind and 18knots wind.

fleet at the briefing

Jenna had a nearly perfect start with full speed and a little ahead of Lisa and Moon. The rest of the fleet followed a little later.

Jenna first at buoy2 follwed by Lisa and Moon
Yvani and Nicole at buoy2

On the way to buoy2 we lost Lucy shortly because of her first crash.

crashed and returned Lucy chasing the fleet
and again different strategies on the upwind leg to buoy5

The boats crossed several times each others because of the different lines and tacks, but in the end they arrived nearly all quite close at buoy5 again.

Jenna and Moon already passed buoy5 followed here by Lisa and Yvani
and Nicole
entering Dunai it looked like an exciting spin Duell with all boats

But out of the nothing Jenna and Lisa crashed both nearly at the same time.

Moon, Yvani and Nicole started the last zigzag through Dunai sims
and tried to pass each others
followed by Lucy and Magalie

Lucy crashed short after this Picture was taken second time two boarders before the finish

Moon could manage to stay in front of Yvani and Nicole at the finish
followed by Magalie

And here is the result of the race

Moon sailed well, but luck helped him to win this race. Poor Jenna (leading) and Lisa (third short behind Moon) crashed unfortunately when entering Dunai area. Otherwise we would have seen a lot more exciting finish. Shame.
And stubborn Lucy who came back after first crash, caught Magalie and even passed her was rewarded from SL with a second crash already smelling the finish. Shame again.
We saw great sailing duells and i hope SL will let us have more finishers in the future with the now reorganised sims.

stay all safe and healhy

hugs and kisses

    • shame, but i hope for the future LL will find the Bugs and timing errors with the new crossings. And i hope that we have the whole race area now on the same channel will pay off as well.
      And………….I love your fighting spirit…..

      • “LL moved our whole race area and our race course to one channel with one Server Code.”

I guess the sailing community did ask LL to clump all the waterways in a certain area together on one server, oh, when was it … like 3,000 years ago or so? And now they finally did it?

        What geniuses! 🙂
