Windsurfing Race Day 24 with Sea Boss Rider at Eki Tropical Island

Yesterday we went again to Eki Tropical Island for our Windsurfing races. Sanja, Sea and Walt joined me in first race and Viv (back again for a visit), Sunday, Mera and Palani on the spectator side. But Viv couldnt resist long only watching and tried with her phone net ther second race and did really well.

The first race is a bit easier told. Walt had a perfect start and sailed all the race far ahead. Sea and me followed Sanja. During the first warming up lap i could manage to pass Sanja.

We both went Swimming once while Walt reached the finish first far ahead of all of us

Walt finishes
me finishing
Sanja finishing

Sea did the first time our maybe a little complicated looking Courses. For that she did really good and finished both races.

The second race was a two lap race, longer and much more Action. Already the start promised an exciting race

Sanja, Viv, Walt and me starting
Sea starts a little behind
Sanja in the lead to buoy 1 with the wall of chasers behind her
different lines to buoy 1
but all find together again and Sea watching the exciting race a bit from behind
Sanja still in the lead at buoy 3
with feeling the hot breathe of her chasers in the neck
Looks as if all found at buoy 5 their position
but that will change a lot until the end of the race
as you can see in the back
Sanja showing Viv, Walt and me the direction for the finish of the first lap
Finish of first lap
still the same Story, Sanja in the lead and the 3 chasers try to become first chaser
all the way
to buoy 5

The race was too exciting for me unfortunately and i made a mistake and went swimming. Viv could sail away and started to catch up with Sanja and Walt passed me.

Walt passing me after my swim
and i started to catch him again
Viv close to Sanja and me passing Walt again
Sanja finished just 10th of a second before Viv and i before Walt
traditional after race beer
and a little party

Here are the results from yesterday

  1. “me passing Walt again”
    😉
Can it be that grrlz are naturally faster than bois because we’re lighter? We’re little hotties and they are king kong gorillaz. This should make a real difference in calm races. At least in RL it does. 🙂

  2. I’m from the USA and I can say that I thoroughly enjoy waking up and reading about the virtual boat races most mornings. Cheerful, clean activities. =D

    • Hi and welcome S.D.
Maybe you’d like to know that both, Bia and Orca are Germans … or Gerwomen. Not that it would make any difference in the planet-spanning virtual world of Second Life. For example our other race directrice, Lucy is from Brazil and the racers are from all over, or at least from time zones when everybody is awake at the scheduled race times.

      “Cheerful, clean activities.”
Often not very cheerful, when the regions are laggy/crashy, but as all watersports mostly clean. 😉
