Race Day 8 with Bandit 22LTE at TrYC

The weather conditions were yesterday again quite well and we had 9 racers meeting for another exciting B22LTE race on our B25 Course with wind from North East and 18knots.

Magalie, Yvani, Sea, Candy, Nicole, Lucy, Jenna, Lisa and Moon at the briefing
Lisa, Lucy, Moon and Jenna started first and with nearly perfect timing

Yvani, Nicole and Magali started a little behind. Sea and Candy crashed at the start, came back and started behind the fleet with some more delay. Unfortunately Sea crashed later again and couldnt finish and Magalie crashed sometime in the middle of her race as well, Candy finished her first B22LTE race with some delay.
The leg to buoy 2 at the lighthouse in Rodel was for all the same fast spin leg. At Rodel the race fleet met the Topless Cruise and in Rodel were suddenly 20 boats trying to surround the lighthouse. The lag was extreme and even the Cruisers who really tried to let the racers pass couldnt do it very properly. While I tried to keep the cruisers informed about the race i missed the racers sailing the first upwind leg to Nimitz and the Roman boat.

Jenna and Lisa having an exciting Duell for the lead
Lucy already surrounded the Roman boat followed by Yvani, Nicole and Moon
Magalie follwed the fleet
Jenna, Lisa and Lucy surrounding buoy 4 after the downwind leg
followed by Yvani and Moon
Jenna and Lisa having still their exciting duell for the lead to buoy 5
Behind Lucy, Yvani and Moon were having their exciting duell
Jenna surrounding buoy 5 a bit before Lisa
Lucy and Yvani follwed a little behind

During the next leg Jenna managed to sail a bit away from Lisa and Lucy caught up with Lisa

Lucy only a little behind Lisa at buoy 6
Lisa and Lucy still fighting for second place
follwed by Yvani
Jenna entering Dunai before Lisa and Lucy
Yvani followed Lisa and Lucy
Lisa could sail away a little more from Lucy and Yvani again before the last zigzag in Dunai
Jenna first at the last buoy followed by Lisa

I flew to my photoposition at the finishline, but unfortunately got disconnected after entering into Triumphal and couldnt take any finishing pictures.

Except the extreme lag when the topless cruise and our race met at Rodel the race was very exciting with many long duells.

I wrote some words about the leader of the Topless Cruise in one earlier report already and after yesterday i have to do this again.
Cruises in sl have normally the goal to show sailors all different areas around sl with different routes, start and party places every week to give them most fun and their leaders normally mention races which crossing their route.
This Topless Cruise is totally different. They copied the idea of the original Topless Cruise years ago, have nearly the same limited library of courses, start and party places for years now. Even the dj is the same playing nearly the same music in different order every week for last years.
I tried to talk to their leader last time to try to exist parallel here, but instead of trying to find a compromise she removed me from her friendlist after more than 5 years which I guess means she doesnt wanna talk at all anymore.

Leaders stubborn, ignorant and uncreative like this believing that who is first somewher has more rights and can do just what they like are a relict from the last century and useless to talk to in the future. Following the theme “the wiser head gives in” i suggested after the race that we will start next week 30min later. All agreed with this and I hope this will solve the problem.

Here is the result from yesterday:

Please remember all that we will start another excting Bandit 22LTE race next week 30min later and watch the notices in sailing Groups.

Until then stay safe and healthy.

  1. “we will start next week 30min later.”
Civil war averted, problem solved. TrYC will stay the sexy friendly club we’re well known for. I’m so proud of you and your racers for being so flexible.

Go and ask Trap for a Gehaltserhöhung. 🙂

    xoxo
