After my last quick peek into the hot new ArchLinux distro RebornOS, and this comment by one of the Reborn devs …
… I noticed, no, the new snapshot 06.15 is still on Cinchi installer but I desperately wanted to show you some ArchLinux with your favourite desktop environment, Cinnamon.

Yes, I cut my little outing into Reborn/Cinnamon pretty short and stopped right there. Decided to give you a full review once the Reborn devs have their own installer made available and gotten rid of all the schmutz.
If I were you, I wouldn’t install RebornOS just yet but stick to the very trusty Endeavour. Give Reborn some time to mature and you’ll surely get something great.
Hi,
I’m one of the RebornOS devs, and I just wanted to say thanks for the article. 🙂
We are currently in the process of developing a new installer completely from scratch that will eventually be much better Cnichi and will fix a lot of the preinstalled cruft that comes along with it (I share your thoughts on the preinstalled software bloat, but a lot of that is a bit of a leftover from Antergos). You can see the new installer, Fenix, hosted on our GitLab here: https://gitlab.com/reborn-os-team/fenix-installer/fenix-installer-python.
There’s currently not a DistroWatch entry due to trademark issues we had with Cnichi back in 2017. We are currently waiting to go through the DistroWatch process once we have a stable release of Fenix.
I hope this answered any questions you had. If you want to know more, then our Discord is fairly active. A link to server can be found on our website, and you are more than welcome to join us there. 🙂
Thanks and have great day,
Zeta
