Ya. I was just totally engrossed in a YT vid when suddenly it stopped. I was like Are you fukn kiddin me? I’m on 50MB, not sposed to buffer!!! But as it turned out I was on 0.3 MB 😦

But it can kill you, repectively your avatar. For example when you’re a regatta sailor or a soldier in any war scenario in in Second Life. Long latency kills you usually, and you only notice while your enemies are already dancing on your grave. 😮
