This is my new wallpaper.
Pretty, isn’t it? But what is it?
Pacwall is a little Linux program – sorry you can’t have that stuff in Windows or Mac – that generates a graphic of all installed packages on your computer. Looks very confusing, right And I’m very careful to only have a minimally equipped system. 😮
All you fellow penguins, you can have Pacwall on your systems too. In Arch you just install it from the AUR, like so …
All the Minty and other buntu-ish guys and Suse, CentOS and Fedora and what else, please just watch Derek’s video about the how-to. It’s not much more complicated than in Arch and should be pretty easy if you’re not total doofuses.
That was easy, no? Oh what fun 🙂

🙂 I will admit that Pacwall is an interesting program.
In my case, I prefer attractive-looking wallpapers.
Do enjoy the rest of your day, Orca.

I too think that Pacwall looks more interesting and freaky geeky than attractive. I’ve seen it in some rices and videos in the last couple weeks, and now after Derek showed us how-to, I just had to try it out for myself. As Arch user it’s just too simple not to give it a go. 😉
