Windsurf Race Day 16 with Sea Boss Rider at TrYC

The weather conditions were quite ok yesterday and the crash monster caught only me in first race.
Lucy, Sanja and Viv joined me in both races, Nicole joined us additional for the second race and we did Course TrYC Sea Boss Rider and TrYC Sea Boss Rider-reversed with wind North and 21 knots.

My Story is told shortly in the first race. Script Errors before the start, missed start buoy, took me nearly 2 min to get control back and following the others, a couple of sims until something said…end of game, disconnected me and sent me the grey screen. While i tried to come back Viv, Sanja and Lucy had an exciting close race.

Sanja chasing Viv 2 buoys before finish

During the race the distance between all 3 settled and they finshed one after another.

Viv turning around last buoy first
Sanja at last buoy second
Lucy third at last buoy

The second race saw me with a great start and a quick safe lead in the race which i could keep until the end. Viv, Lucy, Sanja and Nicole additional in second race follwed me shortly at the start. Viv, Lucy and Sanja had a pretty close and exciting “threesome” race and Nicole who came directly from work to the second race followed with a little distance.
SL played refferee and decided to turn Sanja around so the “threesome” was only a Duell anymore. Viv and Lucy fought until the finish hard with each others and Viv could manage to stay in front.
Nicole could pass Sanja after her forced 360 as well and finished 4th.

Viv finishing second
Lucy (left and third) and Nicole (Right and fourth) finishing
Sanja finishing after her bad luck fifth

  1. “end of game, disconnected me and sent me the grey screen.”

I understand in Germany this whole interwebz thing is “Neuland”, so what did you expect from a rich af economical powerhouse country? Good internet connectivity? They are just starting the whole affair.

Or is it maybe that you are on shitty hardware? I mean your screenshots don’t look very happy neither. OMG, are you on some laptop with Intel onboard graphics? No details in the sky, trees and surfboard riggs falling apart after 50 meters … Looks almost as bad as what I get from my Acer netbook. 😮

Here, invest just ~ 500 woolongs and have a happy machine:

    • i am on Nvidia GTX 980Ti and a 43″ 4K Screen, but do you know the difference of flooded and dryed out. If i would live with first i would definetely buy some new hardware, but i am on second and i definetely need more rain.

In the beginning of my race career i crashed 85% of my races and started to optimize my settings. Now i finish 85% of my races but its unfortunately not the best picture setting. But i love more to finish and do some pics to show how the race went than to crash more for one art picture.

And if you say you dont race when you make pics and can Change windlights and settings. I had in both races 30sec to see where the Racers were, find a good spot for myself, adjust cam angle, close all Chat Windows and get the pic when they came along. Sorry that i wasnt fast enough to make “Newton Art Pictures”

      • “Newton Art Pictures”

The self-identified pervert and kinda inventor of young n00b Orca’s overall clothing style: nekkid and high heels! 🙂

My comment was in no way an attack on you Bianca, it’s just the pics looked very much like low low DD and details, reminiscent of a cheapo bargain basement laptop. I wish I had a 980Ti, still dabbling with my old 770.

So it’s in fact just a very bad connection? Germany should be ashamed. So rich, but such bad service for the people. 😦

  2. Yep, It was fun and exciting racing today! All close races: in the first we were literally toe-to-toe with Sanja most of the race, with never more than 4-5 meters between us, until sanja slept and fall as she was pushing hard to pass me. I got lucky I guess as I was pushing hard too to keep up with her!
In the second race, I started well with Bianca but got some bad vibes and was delayed on the first simcross. The rest of the fleet was then hot on my heels, with Lucy really putting the pressure. I managed to fend her off but it was as close as in the first race! Cheers
