Linux Mint 20, the mighty Ulyana, after much of anticipation and public alpha- and beta testing, is nothing really new for anybody anymore, right?
But now it’s officially available from Mint’s mirrors around the world, for the holdouts and slowpokes among you guys. If you download Mint now you get the real McCoy, no testing stuff anymore …
In any way, the wait is over and Linux Mint has officially joined the rest of the Ubuntu world. Let me know what you guys think of the Ubuntu 20.04-based new Mint version. Is it better than ever before, does it handle the snap/flatpak situation in any satisfying way, is it granny-proof? Is it snappy? Fun to werk with? Feel in good hands with Clem and the Minty gang?
Or do you feel the nagging sensation deep down in your gut, the hunch that it’s maybe time to focus on a future career in some Arch environment? Just asking for a friend. =^.^=
Like every time when Mint releases a new version, it causes some ripples in the Linux universe’s space/time continuum, the very fabric of our existence. Even more so with Mint 20, which is a LTS, Long Term Support, version and and will cuddle and get you most elegantly through the next 5 years.
Only route more secure/lazy would be a Debian install. But let’s not open that can of worms right now. 😐
Guys, I expect the comment section to fukn explode! Call in, all the lines are open now. 😉
