“You know Orca, I’d love to switch to Linux but I need my super expensive Adobe PhotoShop.”
No, fukker, you don’t!
GIMP is on the same level of awesome as PS, just Free and Open Source. But if you’re really so hellbent on not learning new tricks and insist on using your muscle memory and keyboard shortcuts into eternity, we even have a solution for that special problem:

It’s not like Linux app developers aren’t aware of the situation and of superduper loyal PS lovers – eventhough that loyalty isn’t reciprocated by Adobe – and some are doing their best to compromise the GIMP by making it look and feel more like PS. 😐
Linux, the community that cares. 😉
Read this yesterday. Photoshop is one of 3 windows programmes I can’t leave. Will try this as I won’t run Wine anymore.

I never ran Wine, nor do I plan to ever run it, but why won’t you use it anymore, Neil? Lacking reliability or something else?

I have several windows machines. So there is no need. I gave up on a 1 system fits all.

Good idea. I’m huge fan of fragmentation and only have 1 OS on any of my machines. It’s also Linux philosophy, isn’t it? Have every component do one thing … and do it well!
