Okay Covid-19, now it’s personal!
Hey guys, yesterday our rubbish wasn’t collected. Very strange. And today our caring city failed again to send their garbage workers out.
A strike maybe?
Naaaw, if it was a strike I’d shout “Amandla!” in solidarity with the hardworking guys. But it’s much much worse:
However, the City says contingency plans are in place to ensure that operations and service delivery continue as far as possible.Residents who live in Bishopscourt, CBD Trade, Claremont, Dunoon, Facreton/ Thornton, Gardens, Gardens – Trade, Harfield Village, Kenilworth, Kensington, Kenwyn, Langa, Lansdowne, Milnerton, Milnerton Ridge, Pinelands, Rondebosch, Royal Ascot, Sea Point, Summer Greens, West Beach, Woodstock, are requested to please keep their bins on their properties until their next scheduled removal day, next week.
Hu Xijin is absolutely right. The whole world wants Trump to stay in office. Not only is he a great entertainer and in his childlike naivety a fountain of humour, but he unites the world against the Western Empire of you know who. 🙂
But you know, if it’s about hilarious news look no further than mama Rossija:
The patients did not appear to mind the daring attire, and could not resist taking a glimpse or two at the unabashed nurse, a source who shared the picture told the publication.
However, the medical worker herself was reportedly unaware of her exposure. The same source said that the young woman decided to skip her scrubs since she felt overheated wearing protective clothing all day, and could not possibly have imagined that it would be transparent to such an extent.
The story quickly made headlines in Russia, drawing the attention of the local medical authority, among others. The regional Health Ministry reprimanded the nurse, noting that she had violated guidelines.
“Employees were reminded of the need to comply with the requirements for sanitary clothing and appearance,” the ministry said.
While the nurse’s decision to flout the rules and go for comfort instead did not sit well with the ministry and some people online, the majority of the public sided with the medical worker, showering her with compliments and praise.
“Well done to her! And the fact that she risks her life, nobody thanks her for that! And when it comes to a reprimand, here you are!” one person said.
Another commented that by ditching her scrubs, the nurse wanted to make it more comfortable for herself to tend to patients, and not to show off, arguing that the hospital administration is to blame.
“Why are you all crying foul! Nobody has taken into account the fact that she dressed up like this because of the heat!!! The girl did well by showing that it was impossible to work in these conditions!”
Grampa seems to like what he sees.
Aaaaand, people, take note: In Russia they seem to have enough protective clothing for healthcare workers. Oh, and healthcare for that rather poor looking senior citizen, too. But Russia is a shithole country, so pay no atttention.
Cya tomorrow, hopefully fresh and healthy
