Never Be Bored Again!

Hey,  you got plenty time now! Don’t say no, I just saw you coloring in a silly Mermanny coloring sheet. :/

Why don’t you use your time for something better and start a daily yoga routine with Yoga with Adriene? I just learned this is the bestest yoga channel on YouTube, so why dontcha give it a try?;0xw,0.1573xh&resize=700:*

You’ll see, before the Corona crisis is over you’ll be bendy like a pretzel and strong like an Arnold. Loksee here, a nice soft Absolute n00bs Session:

Yoga for Complete Beginners! Adriene welcomes all levels – complete and total beginners to start here! Hop on the mat and start to build the foundation of your own yoga practice with this 20 minute home workout video! Enjoy, stay mindful and find what feels good.

That wasn’t too hard, was it? Hardly an inconvenience. 😉 In the beginning it’s important to get some basics right, the right stance, the right posture and bearing. All the complicated asanas will come in time  and if you practice long enough, say 200 – 300 years, eventually you’ll levitate above the ground. =^.^=

Don’t tell me it’s not possible. It’s just that most yogis, even the most patient ones, are giving up early, after 100 years of intense practice or so. Of course they will never really float if they are that impatient. :/

But first, here’s a little longer 40 minutes session, also for beginners but a bit more involved:

This yoga practice is perfect for beginners but also nice for those looking for a slow and mindful back to basics class. Promote deep listening with the basics. Up your fitness practice and even your yoga workout by connecting or reconnecting to action and alignment. Get the most out of your time on your mat by connecting with your energy and awareness. Cultivate deep listening each time you show up on your mat. This practice is also great for yoga teachers or aspiring yoga teachers! Special thanks to my assistant on this one, thanks Benji!

And here comes some  explainifying:

One of the most frequent questions I’m asked is from people interested in yoga is “Where do I start?” This vlog is an attempt to answer that question as well as give you a list of what I think are the best yoga poses for beginners. This is just a jumping off point! Consider the welcome mat rolled out. Yoga is more than just asana and, in truth, our Yoga is happening every day with each breath! But here is a place to start! Join us and welcome to the family!

You can jump directly to any of the yoga poses with the following links or by checking out the Foundations of Yoga playlist.

Have fun yoga-ing.

  1. 🤔 Actually, it would require way more pressure for a Linux user to become bored. We are already accustomed to spending a large amount of time by ourselves.

Besides, we could always review Linux distros.

On a positive note, the yoga exercises will help to keep us healthy while we are under lockdown.

    • Indeed. Yoga’s got many health benefits. Hah, and now I know why I feel so soggy and slobb:: Since we’re in lockdown and the health club is closed I stopped my yoga practice. Never was a very strong disciplined practitioner, always needed the stimulus of fix dates and rigid regimen and a group around me.
Stupid I know, but in 25 years of yoga I practised maybe twice by myself. :/

And distro testing? I mainly given up on that. The umteenth fork of some Ubuntu clone doesn’t excite me anymore. I only test Arch and Debian forks these days.

What really keeps me from getting bored is this here bloggy. And the many many mails I receive in connection with the blog. Little Orca has a much richer social life than her real life puppet player. That bish is totally not famous. 😮
