another little video from British canal boating. This time we see how a canal boat goes down a flight of locks. Pretty boring as all canal boating is, but also very relaxing, and one just can’t look away. 😉
Also it’s sped up x3 so what we see here in 20 minutes obviously took about one hour for the skipper to achieve in real time in the meatspace. And in case you wonder, the gentlemen in blue shirts are volunteers of the Canal and River Trust, CRT, who assist boaters in locks and do the upkeep of the whole 2000+ miles of the canal system.
Dunno about you but every time I see a little video like this a bit of my trust in the good of humanity is restored. As skipper’s wife I’d always have a bottle of schnaps and some shot glasses handy to cheer and share with the volunteers. 😉
Pheew, fortunately I’m not a *hicks … a boater’s wife. 😮
