Freedom isn’t Free!

Nooo! No, peepels, don’t cry. Pleeze, don’t cry. There’s no reason to be sad. As I’ve told you already when I first wrote about the new MintBoxes, these aren’t the typical NUC-like weakling thingies but honest workhorse computers with some ooomph and stamina!

And whisper silent.

Indeed much faster than all the MintBoxes you loved before. 😉

Look:

MintBox 3 Basic & Pro

mintbox-3 case

The MintBox 3 Basic is a pricey yet performant powerhouse encompassing a 6-core Intel Core i5-9500 processor, 16GB RAM and 256GB of NVMe storage — and yes, this is the entry model!

The MintBox 3 costs from $1399, excluding shipping and any other fees which may be applicable.

Also available is the more expensive MintBox 3 Pro. This packs an 8-core Intel i9-9900k processor, discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics, 32GB RAM and a fill 1TB SSD.

The price? A super cool $2499 — that’s more expensive than a Librem 5 USA though some may say way more functional 😆.

Yes, I know. I know. But look again at the specs and then shut up and accept that quality and exclusivity have their costs. Don’t forget Compulab is probably the world’s most advanced producer of small integrated passively cooled workhorse computers. Also the prices already contain a probably  generous donation to the Linux Mint team. And, hey, since 2006 they are giving us the arguably bestest computer operating system in the whole world! And it’s only getting better from version to version and werkz flawlessly.

For fukn FREE!

So Clem and his Minty gang have earned to be paid donated some generous money, no?

Absolutely adorable!

And … psssht … among us, if you order the same model, just without Mint sticker on it, directly from Compulab, it will probably be a bit cheaper. But you didn’t hear this from me, ok? And I won’t even tell you that Compulab computers are available via an Amazon warehouse near your location. So you don’t even have to plan your next shopping spree in Israel and there’s absolutely no need to support the genocide on Palestine people. 😉

    • Mhm … *sighs* Above mine too, Neil. I have a bonafide rusty and fubared oldtimey car to take care off, there’s not much funding for new PC adventures in our budget for the near future. Fortunately I got the two very nice Lennies to play with … and that terrible netbook. So enough computers to play with Linux. Only Second Life will be a bit shabby now. 😦
