  1. Thank you for your coverage of this, I think this was certainly responsible for some of the increased participation. It seems to get bigger every year! next year maybe they could use 6 regions? :=)

Well, when Lucy and me arrived the line of moored boats around the circle was still rather thin with huge gaps in between the boats, as evident in the photos.

I’ve seen it much fuller and many many more people back when the Raft Up was a new thing, like 10 years ago. Still the lag was as bad as if LL didn’t do fukall for making the network and the servers any more robust. Quite the contrary, it seems it’s like as soon as they see the grid improves a bit they stuff more and more sims onto single servers and increase the prim/LI allotment. 😮 It’s the wrong way dummies! :/

  2. I think the lag drives folks away, but one region was totally full. This is my 4th year and this one was probably the busiest I have seen at the start. it did dwindle as the day progressed no doubt, I think folks get tired of lag. I had to relog a few times myself … too much camming isn’t a great thing under those conditions… but who can resist?! What type of things have you seen in past raft ups you would like to see again or new things you would you like to see in future raft ups?
